People come here from far away places to buy Peda. Also, when people living abroad come here, they definitely come to this place. Not only this, when they start going abroad, they definitely take Bihari Ji’s Peda with them. Bihari Ji’s Peda is so famous that people come here from far and wide. About 100 kg of pedas are sold every day.

Local people say that Bihari ji’s peda is a brand in itself. Whoever eats it once becomes crazy about it. Bihari ji tells that he has been selling Peda here for about 40 years. Earlier he used to do this work alone. Later son and nephew also joined this business. About 100 kg of Peda is easily sold every day. Its demand increases significantly in Lagan. Sugar free peda is sold at Rs 300 per kg and normal peda at Rs 200 per kg.

Bihari ji makes two types of peda
Bihari ji has two types of Peda. One with sugar and the other without sugar means absolutely sugar free peda. About 350 liters of milk is boiled here every day. Then around 100 kg of peda is made. Every day this shop makes good profits. More than ten people work here. Bihari ji told that there is a big pan on about five stoves behind the shop. In which one person at a time is busy heating the milk. Anil Kumar, who was heating the milk, said that 25 liters of milk is heated on a stove. This milk is then boiled until it becomes five-six liters. After that Peda is prepared.

Shop owner Bihari ji told that this shop has its own rules. The rule is that whoever comes to this shop is given two pedas and is given water to drink. If someone takes one peda, he is given five more pedas. There is also a rule that if someone stops a transport vehicle and takes a peda, he is not only given four-five pedas more, but the driver of the vehicle is also given two pedas. If someone is thirsty during summer, he is given Peda along with water. If any hungry person, sadhu or beggar comes to this shop, he is fed peda to his heart’s content.
